Shipping Costs:
All shipping costs are determined by the weight of the product and parcel.

Entertainment DVDs, Audio CDs Back Order Policy:
When you shop at DesiClub.com, our intent is to bring you everything you've ordered as quickly as possible. There are times, however, when, due to unforeseen circumstances, an item may be temporarily Out of Stock.

Back Order

When this happens, your order will be processed as usual, with your credit or bankcard charged for the full amount of your order. You will then immediately be sent all items you've ordered that are in stock at that time. All remaining items you've ordered which are Out of Stock are placed for you on Back Order.

Once the back order is ready to be shipped, DesiClub will send this by regular USPS or standard UPS mail even in the event of a customer having chosen any other shipping method, since the first shipment will be sent as per the customer's chosen method of shipping. For example, if a customer had chosen UPS 2-Day Shipping as the method for his original order, all the available merchandise will be sent by UPS 2-Day and any unavailable merchandise will be sent within 15-20 business days by regular USPS or standard UPS mail. Please note that orders are charged only once which is at the time of placing an order. We do not charge again when the back order is being sent. Items not being shipped due to unavailability or any other reason, have already been billed and no additional charge will take place.

15 to 20 days

We will then make every effort to acquire those items for you and send them out via regular USPS or standard UPS (at no additional cost to you) to fulfill your order within 15 to 20 days. If we are unable to do so, you credit or bankcard will be issued an immediate credit for the amount of your order we were unable to fulfill.

Order Status

We will always tell you as soon as your order is processed if anything is being placed on Back Order. You will be sent an email from our Customer Service team informing you of these actions each step of the way, so you will always know your order's status. You will never need to contact Customer Service; they will always keep you informed. Similarly, you can also access your Order info in Your Account to keep updated.

No additional cost
We have adopted this policy to better serve you, our customers, as we want to make your order process as easy as possible as well as bring you every item you've ordered in a reasonable amount of time at no additional cost. Please note: All normal State and Federal taxes, duties, and tariffs apply to shipment of Back Ordered items and are the responsibility of the consumer.

Fashion:
The following policy is in place for our Fashion items:

  • WHAT IS INCLUSIVE AND WHAT IS NOT:
    All Salwar Kameez and Lehnga sets are including standard Dupattas unless otherwise specified. All Sarees are inclusive of Blouse and Petticoat unless specified otherwise. To change the option of Salwar to Churidaar or vice versa, customer must advise specifically. Accessories, Jewelry etc. shown in the photographs are not part of the garment offered unless specified.

  • VAT/CUSTOMS DUTY:
    Many countries, states and provinces do not charge duty on garments for personal use. Other countries charge a very nominal duty. We will be more than happy to help you minimize payment of duty wherever possible. However these levies, if any, are the sole responsibility of the customer.

  • WRONG DELIVERY ADDRESS:
    We will not be responsible for wrong delivery due to incorrect and/or incomplete address supplied by the customer.

  • INCORRECT INSTRUCTIONS:
    This ONLY applies to items where 'custom' changes are offered. ALL Changes and Special Instructions MUST be repeated after order in an email. We have recently had cases, where the customer has expected his/her order to be executed, incorporating changes suggested by customer via email, weeks even months before actual date of order. We will NOT check email history before executing an order. If no email containing Special Instructions / Changes is received AFTER order is placed, order will be executed without any changes.

  • CURRENCY:
    All payments are made in US Dollars or in current exchange value of other convertible currency.

  • REFUND/EXCHANGE POLICY:
    Keeping in mind the very basic nature of every outfit, our customers do appreciate that each outfit ordered online is individually created. Relatively, fashion is an evolution. Due to the dynamism of this evolution, we respect the customers' ability to support our "no return / no exchange" policy to help us deliver the very best and latest in Indian fashion. Kindly be informed that we will not be able to refund or exchange any online sales under any circumstances.
    Jewelry cannot be exchanged or returned due to hygiene safety.

  • SIZES:
    All garments for which we offer 'custom' stitching are made to order as per Buyers' custom measurements.
    After placing an order, customers are advised to provide size details in inches or centimeters (height, chest/bust, just below bust, waist, hips, sleeve length, upper arm circumference, cross-back/shoulder etc.
    NOTE: If Size OR Measurements are not provided within 3 days of placing an order, garment will be made to free size (36" bust 5' 6" height).
    Want to surprise someone? Don't know exact measurements? Just give us height and size in XS / S / M / L / XL etc. and your package can be delivered to any address of your choice. Complimentary gift-wrapping is available upon request.

  • COLOR CONSISTENCY:
    Please be aware that actual color may differ slightly from that shown. While the essential color will remain the same, that is pastel pink will be pastel pink and turquoise will be turquoise, the actual shade may differ. Minor differences in exact shade of color differ due to lighting differences, individual photographer styles, film development differences, scanner differences and individual pc monitor color settings.

  • GARMENT CARE:
    All garments are dry clean recommended, unless hand-wash specified. Embroidered garments need extra care in dry cleaning and ironing. Crushed silks and textured fabrics cannot be ironed. It is natural for some stones and hand-embroidered beads to come off. Some pure fabrics are not color fast as natural dyes are used. Delicate garments need extra care in handling.

  • SHIPPING & HANDLING:
    All orders are usually shipped within 21 days. In case of Custom Ordered Garments requiring Heavy Handwork, shipment may take 4-6 weeks.
    Please note that we do NOT give Guarantees for Delivery Date as we have no control over extenuating circumstances that may or may not delay delivery after we have shipped. Tracking Report of the concerned courier company will be conclusive proof of delivery.

    Please note: Once an order is shipped, the amount of time it will take for you to receive it is based on the delivery method you selected during the checkout process.

International Orders:
Though we ship most our products internationally, DesiClub.com has instituted a policy for the security and safety of all our international customers. In order to verify the billing information, including address, payment method, etc., all international customers must fax us a copy of the front and back of their credit card, as well as a copy of their credit card statement. This should clearly show their billing address, which should match the address their items are being shipped to. DesiClub.com will keep this information on file for our customers' protection, so that no items can be billed to the customer's card without their knowledge. Please direct all faxes to 734.468-6167.

Though we ship most our products internationally, not all products are available in all countries, and shipping rates to those countries will vary. Please check the Shipping costs during your Checkout process before you approve your order. International customers are responsible for any customs or duty fees levied by their country. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict where they will occur, as policies vary greatly from Nation to Nation. If any packages are returned back to DesiClub.com due to insufficient or wrong address or unclaimed, customers are subject to pay a 25% restocking fee on the merchandise. In the event of a re-shipment of the same order, customers will be responsible to pay shipping charges for the re-shipment.

Customers originating from Reunion, Mauritius & Canada may be subject to pay extra shipping charges in addition to the charges you may agree to pay while finalizing the order, depending upon the shipping schedules of UPS Worldwide Express. Some locations in Canada may be subject to a minimum of $20 surcharge if shipping method chosen is UPS Worldwide Express.

Magazines:
We are pleased to offer fine South Asian magazines to our customers at very competitive rates. Please note, however, that for all magazine or newspaper orders, once processed, subscriptions cannot be refunded or cancelled under any circumstances. There are absolutely no conditions under which a refund or cancellation will be granted. Address changes within the USA may still be made at any time, however. Details regarding the change of address, should be sent by contacting us.

General Information, Credits and Cancellations:
We are proud to offer such shipping values to our customers, especially when paired with our fast delivery times. In most cases, your order will be processed within 48 hours of your placing it. You can expect to receive your order, on average, within 7-15 business days of processing the order. Shipping times may vary depending on delivery address, delays in payment collection, or product unavailability. Often, products will be shipped separately from one another for added safety in transit, so you may receive more than one delivery to your address. Please remember that large items, such as appliances, may take additional time and incur additional handling charges to ensure their safe delivery. We care that you receive your items in exceptional condition.

Please note that all items from each different department on our site are sent separately. For instance, if you order from the Fashion section and the Beauty Products section, these items will be shipped separately. The sole exception to this is that all Entertainment items are shipped together. In other words, your DVDs and Audio CDs from the same order will be sent in one shipment. Tracking numbers for orders shipped via UPS take 24 business hours to become active and for orders shipped via regular mail tracking numbers become active between 3-4 business days.

Please note that the packages sent by USPS regular mail takes anywhere between 7-15 business days to deliver. Though USPS priority promises delivery within 2 business days, there are times it might take more than 15-20 business days to deliver. In these cases, customers are informed to wait for 1 month from the date of shipment as there are chances that the packages might get delivered within this period. In case the packages do not reach even after 1 month of processing, customers are requested to contact us informing us of the non-receipt of the shipment. This will enable DesiClub to pursue this with the courier company. Once the claim is resolved, DesiClub will immediately reprocess the shipments.

Reminder: UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes, always provide a street address for delivery.

We are obligated by law to charge New York residents 8.375% sales tax on most items.

Please note: The United States Postal Service and UPS each charge a penalty for incorrect shipping addresses, wherein the address and zip code do not match. The customer will, without exception, bear the cost of any such penalties and/or fees, not DesiClub.com. Please make sure your shipping address is correct.

Credit Issuals
All credits to be posted to a customer's credit card account takes about 3 business days to be processed by DesiClub. The corresponding bank of the customer's may take about 2 business days to actually post these to the customer's account from the date DesiClub has processed the credit(s). Customers can check these credits in their next credit card statement. We may at our full discretion, give you DesiClub Shop Credit to use towards a future purchase instead of placing a refund.

Order Cancellation
As mentioned in the shipping time, DesiClub will hold an order to be processed if there is a lack of availability or otherwise. If you wish to cancel an order, you are required to communicate this to us by contacting us immediately 24 hours within the placement of the order. If your order has been shipped already, we absolutely cannot cancel the order. In the event that you do not follow these instructions, and if any packages are returned to us, please note that there will be a restocking fee of 25% and the actual shipping charges incurred by us will also be recovered from the your credit card account. Hence, please ensure that you have a written record of a cancellation request or the name of the person with whom the cancellation request was made in DesiClub's customer service within 24 hours of the placement of an order.

Return Policy:
We're dedicated at DesiClub.com to offering you the best quality in our products and our service. However, we know that mistakes are sometimes made and we are here to help remedy any such issues.

Notwithstanding the above, or any other provision, we are under no obligation to accept any returns or provide any replacements. We have sole discretion in deciding whether or not to accept returns.

We do not accept any opened CDs or DVDs for exchange.

If you have received a damaged item or if the item you received was not the item you ordered, please contact us by email within 7 days of your receipt of the product. It is important that you save all packing materials as well as the item itself because you are required to return the original packaging of that product to us. When you reach us, we'll give you instructions on how to proceed so that we may replace the item as quickly as possible. It's very important that you DO NOT send the item back to us until you have spoken with one of our representatives; merchandise without a RETURN FORM will not be accepted, and no credit or replacement shall be given on such items.

In the case of flaws to an item such as a large DVD Collection, which cannot be entirely viewed within the specified 7-day window, some flexibility may be given solely at DesiClub.com's discretion.

All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, except in the case of errors on our site or in our shipping. In many cases, we shall refund the customer their first class mail shipping cost on an item correctly returned to us. However, that refunded shipping cost will always be ONLY for the cost of USPS first class mail shipping, regardless of whether it was sent some other way by the customer.

Please be sure that all returns from a given order are done at one time. Only one Return Form will EVER be sent OR accepted for any one order, so please ensure that all returns from that order are reported at once. Any additional Return Forms received from a single order shall not be accepted and may constitute fraud.

If any packages are returned back to DesiClub.com due to insufficient or wrong address or unclaimed or refused delivery, customers are subject to pay a 25% restocking fee on the merchandise plus the actual shipping charges incurred by DesiClub.com to send the shipment. In the event of a reshipment of the same order, customers will be responsible to pay shipping charges for the reshipment.

Here are some helpful guidelines on Returns:

  • Always contact us first if you have a problem.
  • Always be sure to report your problem within 7 days of receiving the item in question.
  • Never send a returned item without a properly filled Return Form.
  • Always report any and all problems associated with a single order at the same time.
  • Always return your item(s) using ONLY USPS first class postage.
  • Be as specific as possible when describing the problem, especially in the case of DVDs (including defective chapter name), as all returned items are examined for defects. Non-defective DVDs shall be returned to the customer and no shipping charges shall be refunded to them.
  • Any costs above the USPS shipping cost of $1.56 are the responsibility of the customer.



    Event Manager and Event/Movie Ticket Policy:
    The following are the terms and conditions under which desiclub.com is providing the ticketing service and under which this website is to be used.

    Introduction and Definitions: DesiClub.com Event Manager is the on-line service operated by Desiclub, Inc., a New York corporation with its principal place of business in Riverdale (the "Company"), on the World Wide Web of the Internet, consisting of ticketing services, ticketing resources, and related content provided by the Company, and by third parties. "Subscriber" means every person who establishes a connection for access to and use of desiclub.com.

    Agreement with Terms and Conditions: This Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions that apply to use of desiclub.com by Subscriber. By using desiclub.com, Subscriber agrees to comply with all of the terms and conditions hereof.

    Changes in Terms and Conditions: The Company has the right to change or discontinue any aspect or feature of desiclub.com, including, but not limited to, content, hours of availability, and equipment needed for access or use, at any time. The Company has the right to change or modify the terms and conditions applicable to Subscriber's use of desiclub.com, or any part thereof, or to impose new conditions, including, but not limited to, adding fees and charges for use at any time. Such changes, modifications, additions or deletions shall be effective immediately upon notice thereof, which may be given by means including, but not limited to, posting on desiclub.com, or by electronic or conventional mail, or by any other means. Any use of desiclub.com by Subscriber subsequent to such notice shall be deemed to constitute acceptance by Subscriber of such changes, modifications or additions.

    Ticketing: desiclub.com sells tickets on behalf of promoters, teams, bands and venues which means desiclub.com does not set the ticket prices or determine seating locations. All ticket sales are final and no exchanges or refunds are allowed after a purchase has been made. Where tickets are mailed to the Subscriber, neither the client nor desiclub.com will replace lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets. When you receive your tickets, please keep them in a safe place. Please note that direct sunlight or heat can sometimes damage tickets. Where "Ticket Delivery" feature is available and chosen, please allow enough time for the delivery of your ticket order. If you have selected delivery by mail, please allow at least fourteen business days after your order is placed to receive your tickets. For express delivery allow at least 2 business days. These are approximate times, and desiclub.com is not responsible for deliveries that take longer. Will call orders can be processed up to the day of the event. Where "Will Call" feature is available and chosen, the Subscriber must show proof of identification and a printed copy of the electronic receipt to receive the actual ticket. Occasionally, events are cancelled, delayed or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, delayed or postponed for any reason please contact the organizer for information on receiving a refund. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. desiclub.com assumes no responsibility for such refunds and processes refunds only as instructed by the event organizer. desiclub.com will send a confirmation of the order for tickets via email to the subscriber upon successful processing of the order. It is the responsibility of the Subscriber to ensure that the email address provided is correct and accurate.

    There are absolutely No Refunds or Exchanges or Transfers for Event and Movie ticket purchases. You purchase event and movie tickets at your own discretion. If you encounter any problems with your ticket purchase, you must resolve the matter directly with the event or movie theater management. If the event or movie theater management instructs us to refund or exchange your ticket purchase, only then can we process such a request.

    For Print Out Tickets: If you are purchasing more than 1 ticket, you must be present at the box office along with your guests for entry. Your guests will not be allowed entry if you are not physically present with them to present the order receipt and your ID.

    ALL TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE. THE PERSON WHOSE NAME THE TICKET IS ISSUED IN, MUST ALSO BE PRESENT AT THE DOOR ALONG WITH A VALID PHOTO ID. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE A PRINT OUT OF THE ORDER RECEIPT AND SHOW IT AT THE VENUE. ANY FAILURE TO DO THIS, MAY RESULT IN THE DENIAL OF YOUR ADMISSION, WHICH WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR.
