Devotion

From what we are told this is the last "main stream" album that will bare the Soundtripps name. So Devastation would be there good bye album... and what a very good and strong way of saying good bye. Devastation is a double CD, which from Soundtripps means, two mind blowing hot CD's. This album has a lot of everything. If you love bhangra, then you're gonna love this album. If you love simple hindi remixes, again, Devastation is going to be your favorite, and the same goes for Drum N' Bass and all the like. It even includes a brilliant Rap as its intro track on CD 1. B2 is one talented artist, he has the intensity of an angry soldier and the results of a beautiful artist. The total number of tracks on the CD are 40! Yes, 40 tracks of which more than 80% are entertaining remixes. These guys have done it yet again. For many of the songs, this album feels like a sequel to the blockbuster Mystique a couple of years ago. It definitely does the whole scene some well needed justice.

Some tracks on CD 1 include Rang De, Dhoom Dhoom Luck, Mhare Hiwda Mein, Tere Te Nazar as well as other hits. On CD 2 we have Oh Carol, Dil Kya Kare, Tanhai, Teri Yaadein, Nasha, Sangeet, and many more. The interludes alone will bring a great reaction to your senses in Devastation. Its just an overall brilliant piece of work. My personal favorite hindi remix track on CD 1 is 16, its a classic and you will love it: Aaj Phir Jeene Ki from the film Guide, this track should be the standard hindi remix track for all Dj's to follow, its just perfect, instead of ruining the song by adding unnecessary western lyrics, it has a smooth house beat to it which totally makes for a wonderful track. DJ Harry, B2, and Prince K are a team you can't dismiss for any reason whatsoever, thats what I had in my mind for the longest time and Devastation just proves that to me again. Now I just await whats next from Soundtripps. I hope this really isn't there last remix album. Please say it ain't so Harry.

This album is another brilliant start for 2000. This year seems to be getting off to a great start. Soundtripps Devastation will rock the scene, prepare yourself!

1 out of 5 bindis - Its pretty Bad
