The Category Killer: The Final Cut by DJ Flawless has been in my car's system for over a week and let me tell you, it is AMAZING! As a matter of fact, it's so great it has been the #1 seller on Desiclub.com/shop (shameless plug!) and I believe it is about sold out now. This release by this remix talent from Chicago has 31 tracks and also includes a bonus track at the end that you do not want to miss hearing.
The entire theme of the album is set on heavy momentum and keeps you moving and stimulated if not physically, then mentally. From the hits Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and Where's the Party Tonight all the way to Dholna, the final track, is a sampling of some really entertaining music and good taste.
DJ Flawless started on the turntables at the young age of 12 and has progressed tremendously since. His first two CDs spread throughout the Chicago area and then nationally like wildfire, which lead to his public release of Levels 3 and 4. Level 3 was sold out in stores immediately and level 4 rocked the remix world as one of the best remix CDs of 2005. Later, Level 5 truly exhibited the caliber of this artist as he took his remixes to the next level of perfection with his own beats.
There isn't much of a difference between his last releases and The Final Cut, except you can see that he has matured a bit and this is clearly noticeable through the selections and flow of the entire CD. Check it out and you won't be disappointed.
