NEW YORK - DesiClub.com & Intense Management unveiled today the much-anticipated nominees of the DesiClub.com South Asian Media Awards. The awards show being held on Saturday June 4th at the Miller Theater in NYC have created excitement among the South Asian Society unlike any other experienced before.

The DesiClub.com South Asian Media Awards have been developed to recognize those individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the South Asian community through their talent and hard work. The nomination committee members, consisting of highly respectable South Asians from various fields, have thoughtfully submitted their nominees with the mission of the awards in mind.

Bobby Jindal, notable and respected politician has made strides in the field of Politics and is known all throughout the US for his political stature. After the success of Monsoon Wedding, Director Mira Nair released Vanity Fair, an adaptation of the novel by William Thackeray and starring bombshell Hollywood actress, Reese Witherspoon. Practicing Neurosurgeon as well as Medical Correspondent for the health news unit at CNN, Dr. Sanjay Gupta is known worldwide for his medical reporting, especially for his coverage of the war in Iraq.
