Intro - Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche - Udit Narayan
Short 30 second intro to the album. Udit Narayan sings it well.
Aawaara Main Badal - Sonu Nigam, Hema Sardesai
The orchestrations are boring and the tune is a little dry. But Sonu Nigam and Hema Sardesai render the song beautifully and make the track at least average.
Deewana Tera Hai - Udit Narayan
The tune is sweet and the Spanish guitar is nice. However, Rajesh Roshan still repeats some of his older Kaho na pyaar hai instrumentations. Udit Narayan sings this song. Good song.
Koyi Mere Dil Se Pooche - Udit Narayan, Pamela Jain
The song is a feel good happy number. It is a good listen but Rajesh Roshan keeps repeating the same sounds from Kaho Na Pyaar Hai for the back ground music. Nice title track though.
Mat Ho Udhas - Shaan, Pamela Jain
Shaan is at his usual best for this song. Biggest drawback for this song is that it is a straight repeat of Naa Tum Jaano Na Hum from Kaho Na Pyaar Hai.
Kahti Hai Mangni Ki Anghooti - Preeti Uttham
This song starts off on a promising note because of Preeti Uttham. The song just dries up after the first 20 seconds. Sounds like a Jatin Lalit composition, the only difference is that Preeti Uttham sings this, not Lata Mangeshkar. Ms. Uttham could not save this one.
Lapak Jhapak - Kamaal Khan
The track starts of superbly and evens out to an above- average song. Kamaal Khan is not a good choice for the song because his voice keeps breaking in the song. The use of synthesizer is nice. The song sounds like its from a concert.
Hanse Tim Tim - Pamela Jain
Pamela Jain sings this song wonderfully. She sounds like Alka Yagnik sometimes. The tune is boring and there is almost no good supporting music. The only support is from the chorus and the chorus sing like they are singing for a sad song from the 80's. Average.
Tera Bhala Kare Bhagwan - Sonu Nigam
Sonu Nigam is good in this song but I think K.K could have done a better job. The song itself is extremeley mediocre and one feels like fast forwarding after the first 2 minutes.
This album is ridiculously average. It looks like Rajesh Roshan is still stuck on Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai because he keeps repeating the same numbers. . I don't think Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai had exceptional music, it was more the picturization that made its music a big hit.
None of the lyrics in the songs stand out. This Boney Kapoor film has to be a good movie in order to be a hit. The music definitely will not help. Boney Kapoor said that a movie like Gadar did not need its music to become 2001's biggest hit (Gadar had mediocre music also). Uh-oh, did Boney bhai forget the likes of Mohra or Taal? The music in these movies made them blockbusters.
