It's finally happening. After four years of togetherness, come February 24th, Ajay Devgan and Kajol will be man and wife. Marriage preparations are on in full swing. According to the grapevine, Kajol has undergone a drastic sartorial shift... she has been sighted in a plethora of salwar kameezes. Ajay reveals his marriage plans. "Didn't I tell you that the day I'm ready for marriage, I'd announce it to the world?" he exhales. "Yes, I'm getting married. The date hasn't been confirmed yet. It could be either on February 24 or 28." The betrothal will be a very quiet affair. But hadn't Ajay said that his shaadi would have all the requisite pomp and splendour? To that, his contention is: "I only said that I'd never hide my marriage. I didn't say there would be any shosha. Yes, the wedding will be a quiet and private affair." Won't that upset his close friends, relatives and industry colleagues who expect to be invited? Coolly, Ajay avers, "Of course, there will be a grand reception where everyone I know will be invited. But only after Kajol and I return from our honeymoon after two months." Reportedly Ajay's leaving for Los Angeles with Kajol for a few days before the wedding. "No. I'm going for the Dil Kya Kare outdoor. It's work first.
After that, we'll do our last-minute shopping." Is it true that Kajol will not work for outside banners once Chhal and Rahul Rawail's next project are completed? "That's Kajol's prerogative," Ajay replies. "I've never stopped her from doing what she wants to earlier. And I never will." What prompted him to extend the olive branch to Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor? Especially, since the laundromat was publicly aired? Ajay had categorically stated then that he'd never work with either of the heroines. He's now working with Karisma in Nitin Manmohan's Aankh Micholi and with Raveena in Harry Baweja's Deewaane. "I forgive and forget," Ajay asserts, adding, "I don't know if Raveena is doing the film but I'm certainly doing it." Also, why did the commercially-inclined Ajay sign on offbeat director Prakash Jha? Blowing smoke into the musty studio, Ajay says, "I liked the story which Prakash narrated to me. So I thought it would be better if I produced the film myself."
