Bollywood is breaking barriers by introducing more sensual subjects and roles into cinema. Topics that seemed taboo are now approachable despite a dose of audience uproar each time. Pooja Bhatt is pushing the envelope with her film Jism 2 which stars adult film star Sunny Leone. With the undertone of sex in everything related to this film, the trailers are now ready to hit the masses. Our first look at the film is the title song and the clip is less provocative and more emotional.
We have all expected the film to have a tough time with the censor board, but Pooja Bhatt has never been fazed. The "A" certificate has been placed on the film which is why the web is the main promotional route for this film. Pooja told reporters, "I will release it on the internet and social media where my core audience of thinking passionate adults can choose to view it, like it or reject it." Diving deeper into her methods, Pooja adds, "Indian film marketing agencies have discovered that tech savvy professionals both nationally and internationally use the web to know about movies before going to cinema halls. Film producers are now focusing on online marketing through social media."
Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh are the two men cast in the film and these three hotties are all seen in the released music video. Pooja has been excited about her music deal with T-Series and tweeted, "Delighted that @_Tseries is in absolute agreement with us with regards to NOT releasing watered down versions of Jism 2 trailers on TV. This is the FIRST time a mainstream film has chosen the Internet and social media as a MORE than worthy competitor to television." Pooja also discussed the videos online saying, "We have six songs in Jism 2. Only three cater to a universal audience without losing their essence. The other three cannot be made to seem asexual! Hence, we will only submit to the censor board and plug on TV those songs of Jism 2 what WE feel is appropriate for a family audience."
While Pooja Bhatt stirs up the drama on Twitter and in interviews, the clips and images will get crowds either really excited or all riled up. Let's see what the fate of Jism 2 will be December 12.
