Thrice a love story is what we are getting with Teri Meri Kahaani. This Bollywood film stars Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in three love stories all compact in one film. Each story is taking place in a different era and location adding something unique each time. The cast is on the road promoting the film and Priyanka and Shahid are excited about the release and Priyanka dished all about her characters!
Priyanka first took a minute to breakdown the story for reporters. She shares, "Shahid and I both play three characters in the film. The film is three love stories, which happened in three eras - 1910, 1960 and 2012. So, its basically not about reincarnation, nobody dies or nobody realizes that I have met you in a past life, none of that but its just three love stories which happen to the same two people. So, you can call it a story of love soulmates."
While playing three characters, Priyanka has picked her favorite from the bunch. Before revealing her favorite, Priyanka highlights each girl. "I play Aradhana, which is a Sikh girl, a daughter of a freedom fighter in 1910. In 1960, I play a superstar who is an actress in the golden era of cinema and she is from the small city of Lucknow. In 2012, I play a girl who goes to university and is pretty much like me and that's Radha. All three characters are tremendously different from each other," she says. Now for her big reveal, Piggy Chops spills, "I always like something different in my films and characters. In Teri Meri Kahaani, though I play three different roles, I loved the 60's era the most. I play the role of Rukhsar. I love the fashion, style and adaa of that period."
Priyanka also defends her favorite by adding, "I did study for some time in Lucknow. One of the key characteristics that I have infused in Rukhsar is the dignity with which she speaks and conducts herself. It is something I learnt during the time I spent in Lucknow."
