An Ode to Facebook/ Twitter
Social networking sites have practically become a part of the lives of all, more so in the urban areas! It is difficult to think of a time when they didn’t exist. You actually sit wondering about how you managed to stay in touch with people then.
One of the core reasons why it has become such an important aspect of our lives is that it enables you to stay in touch with everyone you know. It is no longer a big deal if your cousin or best buddy is shifting to Sydney or London; you can still be in touch with them every day.
You can read their tweets or updates on Facebook to know what is new in their lives. Facebook offers you more things like notes, photos, videos and a wall and various other applications, which help you share more things.
There are so many people, who post blogs or write something on some incident, which occurred in their lives. In fact, there are people, who even go to the extent of showcasing their talent by writing poems or short stories as notes on their FB profiles. I know this as me and some of my friends come in this elite category. J.
Twitter is simpler and, some would say, more popular. At least, in the case of celebrities, it definitely is the case. All you have to do is just tweet or simply post your thoughts and whoever is your follower would be able to read them. It can be accessed by everyone, replied to or retweeted!
Facebook and Twitter are two websites without which the citizens all over the world would find it difficult to be so well connected. So here is a word of thanks to the amazing networking sites!
